Raeburn have a requirement for a Wellsite Operator. This is a permanent opportunity with our client, an Oil and Gas Service Company.

Job Summary:
The Well Site Operator (WSO) is responsible for assisting and conducting the physical tasks and activities as outlined by the Drilling & Measurements (D&M) Standard Work Instructions (SWIs.) In Remote Operations, the WSO is required to execute these tasks in direct communication with the Remote Operations Engineer (ROE)/Directional Driller (DD) while acting in a support capacity.

Responsibilities:
Generic Processes:
§Attends the pre-job and post-job meetings
§Receives and ships tools to/from the well site
§Maintains all equipment in good working condition at the rigsite
§Updates the inventory requirements at the well site
§Is responsible for rig up and rig down of the surface system at the well site
§Sets up communication system, such as VSAT, IP Phone, BGAN, Cellular, etc.
M/LWD-Related:
§Assists the ROE with surface sensor calibrations
§Assists the ROE in setting depth references and updates the pipe tally
§Assists in the Shallow Hole Test procedure for MWD tools
§Assists and performs all the manual tasks listed in the D&M SWIs of the M/LWD tools
Directional Driller-Related:
§Assists in and performs all the manual tasks listed in the D&M SWIs of motors
§Assists in the Shallow Hole Test procedure for PDM/RSS tools
§Executes downlinking commands as directed and instructed by the Remote Operations Directional Driller (RODD)
§Assists the Driller in orienting and maintaining Tool face as instructed by the RODD
§Reports torque and drag readings as instructed by the RODD
Surface Logging-Related:
§Handles the installation of the sensors, field boxes and rigs up the Surface Logging Unit
§Use rig builder to setup and install sensors into the acquisition system
§Assist with the calibration of sensors
§Handles installation and maintenance of the extractor and calibration of the gas analyser
