Our client is a is looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager on a full time permanent basis in Aberdeen. Therefore suitable candidates will be based in or near Aberdeen.

Due to the nature of the role, only those with the Right to Work in the UK should apply. Raeburn do not have the ability to provide visa sponsorship, therefore current valid ability to work in the UK is required.

The Role
Actively market through existing and new network to increase Company exposure to external clients to increase visibility of EPC services and identify, recommend and secure opportunities in the Brownfield and Greenfield Engineering Arena. To secure projects and opportunities to enable the Company to maximize its potential to deliver across the upstream, midstream and downstream energy markets in UK and Internationally.

The Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Understand, promote and introduce the Company service lines and value propositions to all relevant upstream, midstream and downstream O&G stakeholders
Identify and manage key customer accounts for all business lines within the division
Identify resilient pipeline of forthcoming opportunities sufficient in scale to meet annual targets together with robust, conversion plans to secure ongoing business.
Accurate forecasting against annual sales/business plans on a quarterly, monthly and as-required basis
Ensure all opportunity/pursuit plans (PipeDrive) where you are the designated sales lead or sponsor are kept up to date at all times
Adoption of a cradle-to-grave BD approach for key prospects and clients, through active participation across all stages of the relationship lifecycle
Actively engage with and evolve mature customer relationships of value and ensure that the market intelligence and opportunities are active at all times.
Lead contributions to the divisional business strategy and the introduction of new opportunities and/or alliances that positively differentiate the Company from competitors and add value to client organisations
Work closely with the key technical team to identify prospective clients and follow up with leads (opportunities)
Utilising the Technical & Engineering teams during the sales cycle to ensure deep knowledge and expertise is delivered at all times
Monitor post-sale and on boarding stages, provide an effective handover of the client to Engineering teams as well as all necessary internal stakeholders and follow up during projects with client feedback and performance targets

The Ideal Candidate will have:
Proven track record in the relevant EPC business segments meeting and exceeding goals and sales targets
Excellent commercial and contractual understanding
Proven Network within UK markets, international would be an advantage
Technically minded, with a consultative approach to sales, strong relationship building skills, highly target driven, and able to work in a flexible environment
Experience in technical and operational discussion with clients direct at a senior level

Experience within Drilling Contractor, Drilling Systems & Equipment
Experience working in a Technical/Engineering Business Sales focused roles within the Brownfield Project space, and experience in Drilling equipment and operations would be an advantage
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across all areas/divisions of the business
Exceptional communication skills and presenting skills
Capable of generating sales/marketing material and presenting to large groups or senior clients
Experience of managing complex sales cycles that could go on for long periods

Recognized industry or business related technical qualification. Previous industry experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager or BD/Sales Manager. Furthermore, the candidate should have a strong understanding of the upstream, midstream and downstream engineering and project market sectors. Demonstrate access to an extensive customer network in UK. Financial and commercial acumen to understand Company drivers and secure profitable awards respectively.
