Our Client, a leading independent Exploration and Production Company with Oil and Gas interests around the world, are currently seeking a Subsurface Manager of the highest calibre for a Staff position based in the UK.
The role and its responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:-

A robust and proven track record within a Subsurface Managerial position working directly for Oil and Gas Operators would be highly advantageous when considering this vacancy.
Extensive experience of the UKCS is required when considering this vacancy.
The Subsurface Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing the capabilities of the Subsurface Team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the technical quality and verification of all aspects of the UK's business subsurface work.
The Subsurface Manager will provide robust technical challenges to improve production performance and increase recovery from the producing assets.
Candidates whom are highly knowledgeable in providing subsurface resources as required to support petroleum resource reviews, UK exploration and appraisal efforts and business development assessments as required by UK and Corporate Management are invited to apply.
The role will report to the UK Operated Assets and Technical Manager with a functional link to the Group Subsurface Manager.
Liaise with Exploration and various groups throughout the business to ensure that the appropriate subsurface technical support is provided in line with the Client's Corporate strategy.
Candidates must be educated to degree level in engineering or earth science discipline and Masters in a relevant discipline would be highly preferable and proof provided on request.
The Client are looking for a highly experienced individual having a broad and extensive experience working in the upstream oil & gas industry, primarily focused on production and development projects.
The successful candidate must have a broad experience of all subsurface disciplines with strength in field development, reservoir modelling and production optimisation.
A proven track record of success in leadership and has managerial experience.
Experience in near field exploration and decommissioning activities would be advantageous
Up to date working knowledge of relevant subsurface technical software.
A good understanding of drilling and production operations.
Candidates having a passion for MER (Maximising Economic Recovery) from reservoirs would be highly advantageous to the Client.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and highly experienced in a Management position is required for this role.
Experience of managing budgets is a prerequisite from the Client.
