Our client who provided competitive floating solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry now has an exciting new opportunity for a senior process safety engineer to join their team on a 12 month contract basis. This role will be based in Singapore.

§Summarize briefly the major function and purpose of the Position.
§Applies knowledge and experience to coordinate/execute Formal Safety Assessments and review of design, drawings, specifications, etc to ensure project meets HSE specifications, standards and performance requirements across a wide area of HSE expertise.


§Review and Comply with the HSEQ policy, Standards and Procedures.
§Conduct your business and activities aligned and based upon all applicable HSEQ laws, policies and customer requirements with an aim toward compliance and customer satisfaction.
§Report all incidents immediately to your Supervisor or HSEQ Representative.
§Follow Procedures and Work Instructions. It is always important to follow the correct processes to protect yourself and the environment. Specific Roles & Responsibilities are found in the Corporate HSEQ Management System and your local HSEQ Procedures.
§Take responsibility for evaluating and correcting Health, Safety and Environmental risks and conditions while performing your work. If you ever feel the HSE risks have not been appropriately addressed, you have the right to stop work immediately and notify your Supervisor.
§Know your role in the event of an emergency as site specific emergency response is conducted and drilled.

§Implement project hazard management philosophy and basis of design in accordance with contract, project and Corp HSEQ requirements
§Support project engineering in the development of fire and safety systems design and engineering and selection of fire and safety and lifesaving equipment
§Compile and format data to generate reports for weekly/monthly meetings
§Evaluate vendor/suppliers design and engineering documents with regards to HSE adequacy and compliance
§Co-ordinate/ participate in HAZOP / HAZID / ALARP / SIL workshops, Model review, safety reviews and maintain register for tracking recommendations
§Assist/co-ordinate program of Technical Safety Studies, evaluate , and maintain register for tracking recommendations
§To collect, compile and validate Technical HSE statistics in accordance with Corp and Project requirements.
§Must read, understand the project specification/requirements applicable Codes and Standards and execute work accordingly.
§Must read, understand company Standards, Procedures and Policies and implement where required.
§Capable of reviewing project specification, data sheets, drawing and vendor document.
§Capable of preparing calculations (such as fire water demand)/RFQ/Technical Bid analysis of Safety Consultants.
§Experience in MS Office and awareness of MS Project
§Coordinate with other departments on design, problems and questions.
§Meet work schedule requirements and perform quality work as expected.
§Perform duties as per instruction of Seniors/Supervisors.
§Keep discipline and cohesive environment in the office.

§Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum six years experience applying working principles within assigned technical field (onshore or offshore Oil & Gas) or MS degree and 3 year relevant experience.
§Working knowledge of specific technologies, procedures and applications.
§Some contact with vendors for new/updated equipment/product design.
§Knowledge of, and demonstrable experience in hazard and risk assessment techniques and software and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
§Ability to perform design calculations and analysis.
§Good communication skills.
§Commitment to take responsibility.
§This person will has some ability to challenge, influence and lead on a selective range of HSE issues. The nature of this job requires ability to negotiate with contractors and working to improve safety performance.
