Raeburn are looking to speak with candidates for a permanent opportunity with an oil and gas operator client in central London.

This role provides Technical Assistance to the Exploration Group in London. The role is a support function for the exploration professionals to provide organisation, access and integration of data in all formats including hard copy, digital Windows folders, workstation (IHS Kingdom, Petrel, etc), GIS (ArcGIS)] and other formats.

Duties Include;
- Responsible for managing and loading exploration data to workstation platforms and ensuring old data is archived and recoverable.
- An expert in geo - spatial data, the candidate will provide support and maps for the Exploration team, senior management and occasionally other parts of the business.
- Responsible for maintaining the exploration portfolio data in PIVOT (Portfolio Information Value and Obligations Tool) providing statistical analysis of exploration performance. Continue to develop PIVOT working with the Enterprise Architecture group ensuring all stakeholders views are captured and information is readily accessible.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining the Exploration Management System working with the functional group to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose.
- Assist the Exploration leadership team in compilation of QPR material and Budgets to facilitate accurate and timely reporting of exploration business.
- Candidate must have a passion for data, its life cycle and its value to the company.
- Responsibility for coordinating with Information Systems and Exploration on the storage, cataloguing and retrieval of exploration related data and for maintenance of these structures with the co-operation of the Exploration Team
- For data transmittal and receipt (management of a Transmittal system) and the appropriate dissemination and storage of such data
- Data loading to software systems, particularly Petrel, IHS Kingdom, , Trinity and similar products
- Building databases and analysis of data using Excel and other MSOffice and bespoke tools
- Maintenance of PIVOT - the exploration portfolio database tool. Ensuring accuracy of the data in PIVOT and working with EA to continue to develop and improve the tool for the benefit of both the exploration team and broader company community.
- Responsible for ensuring the corporate global licence database is correct and all exploration licence transaction/divestments and relinquishments are captured in the database and in QPR reports.
- Act as point of contact between the IS group and Exploration ensuring smooth transition of software and hardware roll outs and technology changes.
- Support new venture activity and datarooms.

Candidate Profile
- Previous, relevant experience in a recognised oil company or contractor environment.
- Demonstrable skills in data loading, and data management is essential.
- Must have prior experience in data loading to IHS Kingdom and exploration related software, with acknowledged skills in database building, cataloguing exploration (geological and geophysical) data.
