A permanent role has arisen for a Senior Accountant to work with our client, a leading Oil & Gas service company, based in Aberdeen.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the audit of all client West UK entity companies, 18 trading entities and 4 dormant entities with a combined turnover of GBP840M, and completion of the statutory accounts under FRS101 for submission to Companies House. Dealing with all issues that arise during this process in order to meet the filing deadlines.

STATUTORY ACCOUNTS:
- Coordinating the audit schedule for West UK entities, ensuring audits are completed in line with agreed deadlines to facilitate timely filing of statutory accounts
- Leading and supporting West UK entities through the IFRS conversion process
- Assisting with the completion of the tax computations for West UK entities statutory accounts

MONTH END REPORTING:
- Responsible for the monthly management reporting of the company's UK Holdings Ltd, assisting the Compliance Assistant Accountant with completion of this
- Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Creating a Central Compliance Hub that supports all compliance matters for West UK entities, including international branches
- Responsible for share scheme suspense accounting, including reconciliation of annual vesting
- Responsible for completing and filing of Employment Intermediary Reporting
- Responsible for overseeing the iXBRL tagging of all West UK statutory accounts for submission with the tax computations
- Responsible for completing the Country by Country Reporting to HMRC, working with the Group Tax Department
- Responsible for completing the Transfer Pricing reporting, working with the Group Tax Department

The successful candidate will have an accountancy qualification and experience of statutory accounts and audit processes. Experience in an international group of companies is preferable in addition to using ERP. We are looking for someone who can work to tight deadlines with a high level of technical accounting knowledge and accountancy regulations. They will have to be flexible to respond to changes and have good people management skills, acting as a mentor to members of the team.
