Our client now has an urgent requirement for a project planning engineer to join their team for a 3 month contract position. Candidates must have previous experience to be considered for this position.

Job Summary
The Project Planning Engineer will use their core technical knowledge and experience to maintain work breakdown structures and integrated plans for major capital projects. The role requires an appreciation for all engineering disciplines where possible, as well as subsea engineering practices and EPC contract structures. The Project Planning engineer will be instrumental to ensuring the overall development and maintenance of the integrated project plans and reporting systems to accurately determine schedule performance. Support to the cost function is also a requirement.

In general the role will encompass the need to maintain and manage effective client, partner and other stakeholder relationships as well as internal and external interfaces, responsibility for the development, maintenance and monitoring of project plans / schedules and associated documents and the establishment and maintenance of the project planning system and procedures.

Qualifications/Experience

Proficient in the use of Planning Systems such as; Primavera P6
Oil and Gas Industry experience of 5 - 10+ years
Demonstrable experience in Select, Define and Execute Project Phases
Capability at working successfully on projects involving multiple stakeholders and partners
Good knowledge of engineering practices and EPC contract structures
