Raeburn are handling a Project Engineer opportuntity with an O&G client in Aberdeen with extensive travel to Manchester, London, Norwich and Yorkshire.

This contract is for a 6 month duration with possible extension.

The successful candidate will have extensive onshore brownfield modifications experience as well as a strong background within an O&G operator, and have a proven experience of the full project lifecycle and a track record of setting up projects from the initial stages.

This role is heavily focused on negotiating and developing the commercial agreement documentation between third party vendors as well as developing the project strategy and producing the relevant suite of documentation, such as the scope of work and hookup commissioning procedures.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop the suite of documents required to support the site, including the Design Basis Memorandum, Basis of Design, MOC Procedure, Admin Instructions, Interface Management Plan, Scope of Work and supporting schedules
- Liaise for the development of the Construction Plan
- Liaise with the wider project team for the integration of the document set and to develop the underlying strategy for its development.
- Liaise with other entities (partners, environmental engineer, etc) as required to complete the document suite.
- Able to stand in for the resident engineer and to represent the resident engineer in internal and external meetings as required

Skillset:
- Requires an experienced project engineer who can develop the structure of the document set, write key sections and collate the input of others into a seamless contract.
- A strategic thinker capable of developing and building a structured document set.
- Must be able to write clear, lucid technical documents.
Commercial:
- Needs to liaise with the commercial team and ensure Premier has aligned commercial and technical protections across the document suite.

Qualifications:
- Likely degree qualified, but background in the development and management of contracts for small projects or major sub-contracts on large projects is mandatory.
- Needs broad experience across the project life cycle.

Candidate Profile:

Skills/experience:
- Broad and extensive experience with large oil and gas engineering contractors, or operators preferred.
- Core discipline is not important, but wide ranging project engineering experience is.

Knowledge:
- Needs to understand the structure of contracts and the inter-relationship between the commercial, technical and SCM work streams.
- Experience of onshore projects is required, and UK onshore project experience a distinct advantage,
- This role will require an experienced and personable individual with the confidence and maturity to work pro-actively and with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to think strategically as well as tactically.
- Must have good writing skills and be computer literate.
