Raeburn are handling an exciting long term opportunity based with an Oil and Gas Operator Client. This role will be based in the Aberdeen office with occasional offshore visits so valid offshore certification is a must.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering modifications associated with continued safe platform operation and preparation for topside removal as part of a Decommissioning Project.

This role would suit an individual with good project/modifications experience with a UKCS Operator or Service Provider looking to gain decommissioning experience.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Educated to BSc, preferably in an Engineering discipline and/or Chartered Engineer or equivalent
- Member of relevant professional institution
- Reasonable level of related oil & gas industry experience
- Emergency response experience to allow appointment as a Duty Manager

Required Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and to confidently represent the Company externally
- Ability to motivate others
- Ability to constructively question and probe recommendations/proposals made by others to ensure that all foreseeable risks and possibilities have been addressed and where appropriate formulate risk mitigation and management strategies e.g. via insurance, contractual strategies, engagement of specialist contractors etc
- Ability to establish and maintain a contemporary knowledge of development technologies through network contacts and industry forums
- Knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in particular Safety Case regs, PFEER and DCR
