A exciting vacancy has arisen for an Operations Technician based in London on a CHiP Power Plant, reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor.

Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will reside in or near London.

The Role:
The Operations Technician works as a member of a shift team, (at times alone,) & is responsible for the safe, efficient operation, maintenance & improvement of the CHiP in line with business and statutory needs.

1) Ensure safe, environmental & statutory compliant CHiP operation and maintenance by monitoring, inspecting and controlling plant parameters & providing appropriate first line maintenance.
2) Operate plant ensuring compliance with safety, environmental & statutory requirements.
3) Assist & respond effectively to operational demands achieving safe and efficient generation within prescribed limits to ensure the process is operated safely at all times.
4) Identify operation outside prescribed limits ensuring corrective actions are taken. Where there are Process Safety impacts to immediately alert the Site Management Team & record appropriately.
5) Identify and immediately report plant defects, observations and anomalies that have, or have the potential to affect the safety of the process or which are noted to be abnormal to usual operations
6) Complete plant routine duties maintaining commercial performance, availability and reliability
7) Complete assigned safety duties including application of safe systems of work, setting people to work, and client safety systems.

Minimum Requirements:
1) ONC/NVQ level 3 equivalent in an electrical, Mechanical or C&I discipline.
2) Contributing to continuous process/production/operational environments.
3) First line maintenance.
4) Following procedures, systems & processes.
5) Working to targets.
6) Working a shift pattern.
7) Supporting planning & outage management.
