Our client now has an immediate requirement for a offshore drilling supervisor to join their team on a contract basis.

Duration: 12 Months
Rotation: 3 on 3 off
Location:North Sea

Principal Duties of Post:
Deliver the optimum well bore to the production/exploration department with due regard for safety, the environment and at maximum value to the client.
Focal point for the well construction at the rig site to advise, monitor and report on all activities concerning the drilling operation.
The Drilling Supervisor works with all of the appropriate contractors to ensure operations are performed efficiently and safely within approved well programmes, company practices and procedures, and governmental rules and regulations.
Ensure that the clients procedures are applied to maintain well separations.
Emergency and upset situations are addressed promptly and liaised with other specialists to ensure necessary steps are taken to minimize risks to personnel and to restore normal conditions as quickly as possible.
Communicates and coordinates work plans to the Drilling Contractor and Service Company personnel.
Updates Platform Management as necessary and ensures platform support services are available as required.
Delegates the timely arrival of materials, equipment and personnel to the relevant support personnel to ensure that no operational delays occur.
The suitability of materials, equipment is verified with appropriate contractors before use.
Dependent on the drilling schedule, can be temporarily assigned to the office to assist in the planning and development of drilling programs.

Person Specification:

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineering/Applied Science degree or relevant industry experience.
Well Control Certificate.
Offshore Survival Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree Qualified.

Essential Experience:
Understands the well construction process and the importance of safety leadership.
Minimum of 5 years experience.

Desirable Experience:
UKCS platform and MODY, P&A, ERD, horizontal, sand screen and subsea completions.

Personal Qualities:
Highly motivated and professional with an understanding of the entire well delivery process.
Experienced as a member of staff in either a drilling contractor or an operator.
Operationally focused ensuring HSE is couple with performance with a desire to efficiently deliver on the projects goals.
