An enthusiastic and capable Mechanical Draughtsperson is required for this opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and expanding company in order to develop downhole tools for use in the Oil & Gas industry.

This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Draughter and will involve providing draughting support to the mechanical team working on new and existing surface and downhole tools. The successful applicant will work primarily within the Mechanical arm of the R&D department to expand and enhance the range of services that the client provides. The role offers the opportunity to work on leading edge technology in the well test and production areas of the Oil & Gas industry.

Principal Duties:
Generate CAD drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, client etc);
Assist with generating procedures (assembly, test etc);
Assist with generating engineering test reports;
Assist with performing test build & prototype testing of new equipment;
Participate in design reviews;
Support internal and external customers on technical queries;
Maintain design files & related documentation;
Support operations by working at client sites (onshore and offshore).
The role requires:
CAD & PDM application skills (Ideally Autodesk Inventor & Vault);
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Use of MS Office applications;
Experience with mechanical components & mechanisms.
The following would be advantageous:
Oilfield downhole tools experience.
