Exciting opportunity for a Make Safe & Handover Coordinator to work on a contract basis for our client, an experienced operator in the North Sea. Make Safe & Handover Coordinator will report into the OIM, to work as part of the Decommissioning Project. To act as offshore project liaison for the make safe and handover phase and associated work scopes.

This position is offshore based on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation. Occasional additional ad-hoc days in the office should also be expected.


The incumbent will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of the following activities:

Ensure through liaison with the platforms offshore management team and main contractors in the co-ordination of all Make Safe and Handover activities in line with the Project Plan
Manage all day to day progress reporting and facilitate issue resolution through various channels
Implement and roll out specific Make Safe and Handover programmes and strategies to targeted offshore teams to ensure buy-in and engagement
Manage ad-hoc information requests and surveys from the offshore project team
Monitor progress and readiness of construction contractors and report back any issues to the Senior Project Engineer within the Make Safe and Handover area
Act as PA for certain non-construction related activities (3rd party specialist surveys etc.)

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by:

Leading by example and ensuring adherence to HS&E Policies
Ensuring contractors correctly assess and implement the necessary risk assessment and mitigation's for all offshore engineering construction works


Significant relevant engineering experience, preferably in a similar role with a UKCS operator
Preferably degree qualified in a relevant discipline - Engineering, Mathematics or Science
ECITB accredited or other chartered status
ISSOW and level 2 Risk assessment trained
Current BOSIET, MIST & OGUK medical
Good understanding of oilfield project management
