Our client is now looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join their team on a contract basis, this role is base in Kingswells, Aberdeen. Candidate must have previous experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.

Job Summary:
Development and implementation of standard optimised maintenance strategies across all UK Assets.
Ensure new project equipment is correctly categorised and standard maintenance strategies are applied.
Management of Preventative work prior to entry into the planning process.
Communication of maintenance optimisation activities to the wider business stakeholder group.
Provides maintenance input to engineering changes.

Job Duties / Responsibilites:

Reviews Preventative Maintenance Routines for suitability prior to entry into the planning process.
Facilitates Maintenance Strategy Review Workshops
Provides Project Management and quality assurance for outsourced scopes of work.
·Undertakes equipment critically assessment in accordance with procedures.
·Undertakes equipment critical spares analysis in accordance with procedures.
·Reviews & updates Equipment Bills of Material in CMMS
·Develops maintenance strategies to meet business goals and where appropriate ensures, standardisation of Maintenance Strategy application.
·Manages project plans
·Ensures new Project master data migration to CMMS
·Establishes maintenance routines for new Project equipment
·Participates in the cleansing of the existing transactional data
·Participates in Obsolescence reviews
·Improves Asset Equipment Availability and Reliability using current RCM techniques

§Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required


Qualifications:
§OND/HNC - can be offset with suitable experience
§Adequate operational industry experience
§Conform to the agreed core values and behaviours
§Excellent Experience working with SAP CMMS.
§Appreciation of commercial as well as technical issues

Knowledge Essential Experience:
§Ability/Confidence to deal effectively with all levels of staff within the Corporation
§Coaching skills, especially in Current Maintenance RCM techniques
§Strong problem solving skills are a must to separate symptoms from underlying problems
§Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload in the face of competing user demands
§Ability to work independently in a team environment
§Substantial experience: Previous role in an O&M Environment is essential
§Experience in offshore/onshore support role would be beneficial to the position
§Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate effectively to all parties
§Experience of Project and Change Management is essential
§Ability to operate within the strategic, tactical and operational levels of an organisation and exert a disproportionate level of influence.
