Raeburn Recruitment are assisting our Client, an international Oil & Gas Drilling & Engineering company, with a requirement for a Lead Electrical Designer. This is a 12 month contract opportunity based in Aberdeen.

As Lead Electrical Designer You will be acting as Focal Point for all Electrical Design activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring knowledge of, and compliance with, company Management Systems. Assurance that personnel under your control comply with these procedures
- Supervision of Electrical personnel under your remit and for the quality of work produced
- Assurance of competence of design personnel under the Lead Designers control; identifying personnel shortfalls and submission of proposed solutions such as training, coaching or replacement
- Identification of design scope of work required to undertake a project/job
- Input to project plans and schedules via the Lead Electrical Engineer
- Production of cost effective design solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both Company and Client
- Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design
- Surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of workscopes.
- Forward planning of resources and timely identification of changes to resource requirements to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
- Validation of timesheets for Designers

To be considered for the Lead Electrical Designer opportunity you should be able to demonstrate:
- Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the Oil & Gas Industry
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry and international specifications and standards
