Raeburn are looking to speak with experienced International Tax Managers for a permanent opportunity with an oil and gas service client in South Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Senior Group Tax Manager, the International Tax Manager is responsible for the tax advice and planning as well as compliance support and review for the UK and Offshore operations of the Group across multiple jurisdictions and is responsible for providing advice and support on specific areas of tax, such as treasury.
Area(s) of Responsibility:
· Working closely with the Finance business leaders and commercial partners to understand current and future business plans and to provide specialist and commercially focussed tax advice;
· Manage tax audits, UK and overseas;
· Manage UK and overseas tax compliance, working with in-house and external preparers.

Supervises:
Manage and maintain relationships with third party advisers.
Work closely with finance staff to ensure they deliver accurate information and data for tax department use.
Key Tasks
Day-to-day responsibility for tax issues relating to the UK Corporate companies and offshore entities to include corporate tax, WHT and deemed profits tax.
a) Research tax technical points and evaluate the impact of conclusions on the Group or entities.
b) Provide commercially focussed tax advice to finance and commercial managers on bids, new business opportunities and other projects.
c) Manage tax audits, providing guidance to local teams and ensuring accurate and appropriate disclosure is made to the tax authorities.
d) Manage, maintain and report tax risks for allocated entities.
e) Review the impact of new tax legislation on existing group companies and report those changes.
f) Review tax returns for Corporate and Offshore entities to ensure technical accuracy and consistency with Group policy.
g) Ensure that tax returns and appropriate transfer pricing documents are filed on time.
h) Review tax budgets, quarterly tax packs, annual tax packs and ensure these are accurate and reflected in the local / Group accounts.
i) Review and approve tax payments.
j) Ensure that relevant intercompany agreements are in place to support transactions.
k) Support other team members in areas such as transfer pricing, year-end accounting, VAT.
l) Become subject matter expert in allocated areas, such as treasury taxation.
m) Cover for other tax staff in their absence.
n) Other ad hoc responsibilities as required.
