Raeburn Recruitment are assisting our client, a global supplier and operator of floating platforms, with a requirement for an Instrument Engineer. This is a contract opportunity based in Aberdeen with a regular requirement for international travel.

Working as Instrument Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Instrument Maintenance best practices and providing day to day maintenance support for Instrument offshore equipment issues. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing production and operations engineering change support for the facilities systems including power production process control systems, integrated control and safety systems, fire and gas detections and instrumentation associated with process facilities, utilities and marine systems.
- Providing instrumentation and control systems support to the FPSO systems technicians, engineers and managers.
- Providing management and coordination of all project processes from budget preparation, financial approvals, schedule and cost estimates, risk and quality management, project execution and closure.
- Identify, review, and approve any QA/QC requirements for the facilitys equipment and packages that relate to the control and instrumentation components of all management of change engineering change request work scopes.
- Developing maintenance strategies and plans for the equipment under your responsibility
- Participating in Client meetings and technical presentations.
- Visit international office and vessel on a 6-weekly basis.

The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant degree in controls and instrumentation engineering, or equivalent.
- Offshore certification (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, IMIST, CA-EBS and OGUK Medical.)
- Previous experience with the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems within a large-scale process plant, ideally FPSO.
- Strong troubleshooting & knowledge with DCS, programmable logic controllers and associated hardware
