Raeburn currently have a requirement for a hr Business Partner for our Oil and Gas client based in Uxbridge. This is a contract role on a 12 month basis.

Job Summary
This role will provide support to the wider HR team in the UK as polices, processes and procedures are updated or implemented during a period of organisational change. These are likely to be across the range of HR disciplines including HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition and Reward. The ability to provide a proactive HR support to teams in the Uxbridge office, the wider UK business and to developing overseas offices (currently Senegal, Ireland and Guyana) is also needed. In both cased there is a need to operate within a small team and develop/maintain strong relationships with managers, senior staff, employees and contractors, colleagues in Calgary (and potentially Beijing), demonstrating a firm understanding of the business objectives and challenges. There may also be a need to carry out ad-hoc projects as required.

HR teams across UK and regional centres, managers & supervisors, company employees from all locations
Peers within other Oil and Gas Companies (including those able to support new country entries)and External Compliance bodies where required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Functional Key Result Areas
Liaising, collaborating and co-ordinating with members of the HR Team across locations to ensure effective communication and consistency of process; provision of an efficient, effective and timely service to the business and contributing to the effective planning of workload, initiatives and training.

Policy/Process :
-Actively contributes to the redevelopment or creation of policies, processes and tools as required by legislation or changes to internal working processes.
-Ensure they are fit for purpose and appropriate for the business.
-Actively contributes to the actions to take us to full compliance under the General Data Protection Regulations
-Active understanding to support the HR team on the quality and accuracy of the details contained in the HR system and the facilitation and administration of employee changes, promotions etc. for the business area.

Business Partnering :
-Collaborate with the HR team to provide a professional, high quality and value adding service.
-Providing support, advice with policies, processes and tools in a timely manner to business stakeholders on all employee relations issues whilst ensuring that accurate records are maintained at all times.
-Providing accurate reporting to Managers and helping coordinate research and analysis, as required.
-Providing direct communication with Leaders and employees ensuring that the business is well informed, as and when required.
-Undertakes presentations and training sessions for roll out to workforce as required.
-Supporting line managers with Employee Relations activities, i.e.: grievances, disciplinaries, investigations.

New Country Entry:
-Develop and maintain an understanding of the employment requirements for each location within scope:
-Resourcing and Development needs and plans
-Local employment environment; employment laws& regulations; contracts of employment; ways of working; market intelligence (led by internal Talent Acquisition team and MSP) etc.
-Providing support to in-country management and maintaining regular contact
-Input to the wider HR community on issues, trends etc.

-Collaborates with others in the team and looks for opportunities to leverage their network and work with others to develop safe, practical and effective solutions
-Continuous Improvement & Innovation
-Continuously develops ways of working by seeking feedback from colleagues and key stakeholders.
-Complies with the companys project management disciplines, effectively utilises knowledge databases and actively participates in project reviews.

-Bachelors degree or appropriate relevant practical experience
-CIPD or equivalent qualifications would be preferred

-Strong knowledge of UK employment law and the ability to transfer this knowledge into effective policies, processes and procedures.
-In-depth understanding of the HR function, having previously worked in a business partnering style role.
-Project management skills.
-Proven ability to work as part of a fast paced team with high quality service delivery at the heart.
-Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize in a busy and complex environment.
-Ability to work on a wide variety of activities at any one time and deal with a changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.
-Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
-Experience in oil and gas industry would be preferred.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and use of Livelink or similar system.
-Knowledge of Workday or similar HR systems would be an advantage.
-Ability to travel within the UK, potentially overseas if required.
