Our client now has a immediate requirement for a HES Focalpoint to join their team on a staff basis. Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role to be considered for this position

OVERALL PURPOSE AND JOB CONTEXT:
Act as focal point for Incident Free Operations to ensure a safety culture is maintained offshore.
Promote safety through coaching, knowledge sharing and demonstrate a visible leadership in safety.
This role is part of the small team reporting to the Occupational Safety & Compliance Supervisor, which is part of the larger HES Team supporting field operations.
There will be a requirement for numerous offshore trips in support of the role and team aims.
Influencing thought and work practices to envelop Incident Free Safety Culture.
Identifying Human Factor gaps preventing Incident Free Operations and developing then implementing remedy program.
This role will be responsible for supporting incident free operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop and maintain an ongoing Safety Culture Improvement Plan.
Review Incident reporting highlighting trends and remedy actions.
Act as onshore focal point for Offshore Safety Coaches and provide support to all platforms utilising the Safety Coaches where available.
Advocate compliance with regulatory health and safety requirements leading health and safety related campaigns and programs where identified.
Advise Offshore Safety Coaches on identifying and addressing health and safety risks and provide guidance on mitigation measures.
Lead and participate in incident investigations, assuring quality and timeliness of investigations.
Undertake regular visits offshore supporting and promoting Incident Free Safety Vision, health and safety coaching and participate in audits as required.

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY or LEVEL OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:
This role will need to work autonomously leading, identifying corrective actions and implementing the solution on a timely basis by involving appropriate people and resources.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications required:
Relevant degree, equivalent or qualified by experience
NEBOSH or equivalent

Skills required:
Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing and presentation skills

Experience required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in an equivalent role in the oil and gas industry
Implementation/ Management of a Corporate Safety Culture program
Good working knowledge of UK & European HES legislation
