Reaburn Recruitment are assisting our client, an Oil & Gas Service Company, with a requirement for a Contracts Engineer to support their Well Engineering team. Our client are willing to consider this on a staff or contract basis and the position will be based Aberdeen city centre.

Reporting to the Wells Subcontracts Team Lead, the Contracts Engineer will manage all sub-contract activities related to designated Well Engineering operations in the support of all activities for the UK and Africa region.
Working in a busy and stimulating operational environment the Contracts Engineer is required to work on their own initiative; dealing directly with all key business stakeholders to execute required subcontracts and contractual documents. In conjunction with other team members, the wider company Supply Chain organisation and the Wells Subcontracts Team Lead the Contracts Engineer will be required to articulate the commercial planning of well operations and develop suitable strategies based on subcontract conditions of contract. The main duties of the role will include:
- Inputting to and updating the subcontracts plan, ensuring that it is delivered and any tendering activity is listed on the FPAL forward work plan
- Developing of subcontract strategy papers and plans for designated client well operations
- Preparing, issuing and managing Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages covering objective evaluation and award
- Preparing and issuing to the selected contractors approved contracts and dealing with subsequent contract amendments
- Working with the Business Services lines to negotiate Master Services Agreement subcontract terms with suppliers in line

The ideal applicant will preferably have a degree in Law or QS however extensive experience in a similar role in tendering, awarding, managing and negotiating contracts and subcontracts is acceptable. Applicants will have solid working knowledge of LOGIC based terms and conditions and working knowledge of various remuneration models.
