One of our Clients, a well established Oil & Gas service provider requires an experienced Contracts Engineer in Aberdeen. The preference for this role is permanent; however our client may be able to consider candidates on a contract basis.

As Contracts Engineer, you will be reporting to the Wells Subcontracts Team Lead and will manage all sub-contract activities related to designated Well Engineering Operations in the support of all activities for the UK and Africa regions. Working in a busy and stimulating operational environment you will be required to work on your own initiative. Your duties will include:
- Articulate the commercial planning of Well Operations and develop suitable strategies based on company sub-contract conditions of contract to support the Wells business and associated project work
- Input to and updating of the subcontracts plan, ensuring that it is delivered and any tendering activity is listed on the forward work plan
- Developing of subcontract strategy papers and plans for designated client Well Operations
- Preparing, issuing and managing Invitation to Tender packages
- Preparing and issuing, to the selected contractors, approved contracts and dealing with subsequent contract amendments
- Working with the Business Services lines to negotiate Master Services Agreement sub-contract terms with suppliers

You will ideally have a degree in Law or QS and be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in a similar role in tendering, awarding, managing and negotiating contracts and sub-contracts
- A solid working knowledge of LOGIC bases terms and conditions
- A working knowledge of various remuneration models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
