Raeburn Recruitment have a requirement for an experienced Contracts Engineer to work with our client. Thisis a permanent opportunity based in Aberdeen.

Department Objective:
The Contracts & Procurement Department is responsible for delivering (sub)contracting and procurement in such a way that services and supplies are obtained at the best conditions regarding quality, delivering time, price and HSE aspects in order to contribute to the realization of the companys goals and strategy.

Job Objective:
The Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing and administrating all Operations contracting activities on projects in a timely, quality focused and budget driven way. All activities will be performed in accordance with Corporate Management System.

Result Areas:
Contracts Engineering:
Responsible for the preparation of tenders for all disciplines and Operations specific contract strategy e.g. bidders list and Operations specific terms & conditions.
Compiling all required information from other departments e.g. operations, engineering, planning, procurement et cetera and issues invitations to tender.
Administration and keeping records on all issues during tender phase.
Evaluation and negotiation of both commercial/contractual and coordinating technical evaluations of the received tenders.
Organising and chairing clarification meetings and kick-off meetings.
Organising the tender board and providing all required documentation.
Responsible for the preparation and issuing of contracts and for the accurate administration of the contract and issue of addenda and/or amendments.
Monitoring and controlling contract variations (subcontracts and client contracts) in close cooperation with project team.
Preparing and issuing contract summary reports.
Responsible for all contractual correspondence and for close-out contracts.
Assisting the Asset Managers on all contractual issues.
Supporting other departments on contractual and commercial matters.

Keeping knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and shares this within the section.
Checking work of colleagues to improve quality.
Reporting regularly to the Section Head Contracts on personal achievements and section matters.
Using and maintaining corporate standards. Developing and proposing improvements.

Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Law, Commerce or equivalent by experience.
Demonstrable experience in a contracting environment within the oil & gas industry.
