Our Client is an Operator based in Aberdeen who is looking to hire a Completion Engineer on a 6 month contract basis based in Aberdeen.

Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will reside in or near Aberdeen, UK.

To design Completion & Well Interventions (CWI) and assist the onshore execution teams to deliver maximum value to the assigned asset whilst maintaining Wells Operated and HS&E standards.

Key Accountabilities
1) Design, planning and execution of sand control completions with focus on open hole gravel packing and associated fluid selection.
2) Ensure that the well delivery processes and controls are implemented for all CWI activities, thereby safeguarding the technical integrity of the Assets.
3) Ensure Better-to-Best processes and tools are adopted and embedded.
4) Manage and control the interfaces between CWI, Well Construction, Production and Development teams within the asset.
5) Deliver against CWI key performance indicators (KPIs).
6) Drive functional excellence for CWI, ensuring that local, regional and global learning are communicated and taken account of as appropriate.
7) Provide routine and emergency technical input and troubleshooting support for all well related activities, both in the office and at the well site as required.
8) Co-ordinate and manage logistics to ensure operations are conducted safely, on time and in accordance with execution programmes.
9) Supervise and ensure CWI programmes are executed safely and efficiently and that all company policies and procedures are fully adhered to.
10) Monitor offshore platform and MODU based CWI operations.
11) Ensure deviations from execution programmes are only conducted with the appropriate level of technical authorisation.
12) Ensure adherence to change control procedures in the event of programme amendments.
13) Ensure accurate reporting of all CWI activities into approved PTW/O reporting medium.
14) Implement accurate cost monitoring of all CWI activities both in the office and on the well site.
15) Integrate and liaise with other disciplines to ensure efficient and effective execution of CWI work programmes.
16) Ensure all lessons learned are captured and shared from execution of CWI activities, in line with the well delivery process.

Knowledge & Experience
As a minimum the incumbent will:
1 ) Have a Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or a similar technical or scientific discipline.
2) Have significant years CWI experience, specifically sand control completions with focus on open hole gravel packing and associated fluid selection.
3) Have experience integrating technical and business activities on multi-discipline projects. The experience should include supervision of technical activities.
4) Maintain the minimum safety certification required to execute the job. (IWCF, VCA, survival, medical, H2S, permits etc).
