Our client a leading international industrial service provider is seeking a Competency Advisor for a staff role.

Due to continued growth of the business the company requires a Competency Advisor in Aberdeen to support the strategy & services of the competency function.

§Proactively ensure compliance (corporate & legislative) in process, documentation, policy and behaviour.
§Work with Technical Authorities and Training & Competency (T&C) champions to ensure full understanding and implementation of competency processes/recording.
§Liaise with other business areas (e.g. HR, Recruitment, T&C Champions, Mobilisation Centres) to ensure they provide, and are provided with, all relevant information to support business activities.
§Collate findings from competence audits on personnel records and communicate outcomes to appropriate parties.
§Support the business and participate in the continuous review and development of competency related systems and processes to ensure they remain robust and fit-for-purpose.
§Collaborate with Competency Coordinators ensuring their monitoring/status reports on competency gaps are actioned.
§Take the lead in projects and initiatives as directed by the Competency Manager and participate in external working parties as required.
§Liaise with the Companys external training partner to ensure all training requirements are met.
§Review Training Matrices - providing support with training & certification queries.
§Lead the monthly reporting and administration process for obtaining training grants.
§Contribute to Competency team, sharing best practice and building a one team culture.
§Ensure participation in performance through the relevant processes and initiatives ensuring the appropriate knowledge and skills are in place.
§Liaise and support the Competency Manager in supporting management, operations and employees to ensure awareness and involvement in key competency issues/initiatives.
§Through personal commitment help build a business culture centred around safety being good business.

Qualifications and Experience:

§Experience and understanding of Competency processes and requirements.
§Previous experience in a T&C or L&D role.
§Experience in a fast paced work environment.
§Microsoft applications.
§Able to work under own initiative & operate under pressure.
