Job Description
As Asset Cost Controller you will be based in the Aberdeen area with occasional travel to the Companies offices in Europe, and will be responsible for:
·Facilitates the annual asset budgeting process to ensure timely completion and agreement with key stakeholders.
·Preparation of the monthly asset cost control reports including commitments, expenditures & forecast.
·Participation into preparation of the profit and los analysis.
·Prepares budgets and forecasts ensuring that appropriate levels of costs are included. Challenges cost estimates where appropriate.
·Analyses actual costs and forecast expenditure as directed and provides details on variances between budget and previous forecast.
·Prepares the monthly cash flow report
·Contacts and reviews regularly with budget holder (Asset Manager) and budget spenders, comparing forecast expenditure against budget.
·Highlights on time areas of concern for cost over-run or under spends; recommends actions or solutions.
·Liaises with finance, procurement and contracts to ensure correct and accurate processing, registration and accounting of invoices, commitments and expenditures.
·Processes and analyses historical cost data.
You will report directly to the Section Head.

We are looking for
A strong and experienced Cost Controller with good work ethics, having a professional outlook with knowledge of accounting and commercial processes.

Furthermore, you will have:
·a Bachelors degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant education
·over 3 years experience in a similar position
·a technical knowledge in Oil and Gas, FPSO preferred
·a proactive approach to the role and be able to demonstrate added value at all times
·excellent command of English, both verbally as well as in writing
·the willingness to travel on short-term overseas business trips
