Effective 1st May 2014, Raeburn were legally required to comply with UK Auto Enrolment legislation. This legislation relating to savings and pensions requires Raeburn to automatically enrol all PAYE agency workers into a workplace pension plan provided they are eligible.
Raeburn have appointed NOW: Pensions as its preferred partner to manage pension’s provisions. NOW: Pensions have a wealth of experience and they set out to bring flexibility, performance, and cost efficiency to the UK pension industry.
We are also pleased to confirm that NOW: Pensions offers pension scheme members the added benefit / option to transfer their pension funds to another pension provider if required providing significant flexibility for our Agency Workers and their pension funds.
You will be automatically enrolled into the NOW: Pension Plan provided you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You are aged between 22 and State Pension Age
- Your Raeburn Recruitment earnings are more than £192 per week
If you do meet the above conditions and are therefore eligible, you will be required by law to make a contributions of 1% of your qualifying earnings (QE). These are your taxable earnings between £112 and £815 per week. Your contribution will be deducted automatically from your weekly wages before tax. Raeburn, on behalf of our Clients, will also make the same contribution - 1% - on your behalf provided you meet the eligibility criteria.
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you will not be automatically enrolled into the NOW: Pension scheme. You will, however, still have the ability to opt into the pension scheme depending on your age and QE. You will also receive a 1% contribution from Raeburn if you meet the following criteria:
- You are aged between 16 and 21 years old and earn above £1123 per week
- You are aged between 22 and State Pension Age and earn above £112 per week but less than £192 per week
- You are aged between State Pension Age and 74 years old and earn above £112 per week
It is important to remember that although eligibility criteria for automatic enrolment may not apply to you when you start with Raeburn, it may do so in the future. You can choose to stop contributing or opt out if you wish, but only after you have been enrolled into the Pension Plan.
