Our client is an Operator based in Aberdeen who is looking to take on an Intervention Permit Authority on a long term contract in Aberdeen.

Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will reside in or near Aberdeen, UK.

Context:
The Intervention Permit Authority will evaluate the planned scopes of work for each asset and the intervention work planned for forthcoming deployment, identifying the isolation & controls required to safely execute the works & countersigning the associated permits. The job holder will engage in permit to work systems, SAP, Stre@m, and other corporate applications.

Main activities:
At all times, the job-holder will:
1) Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE&I & HR Policies
2) Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards
3) Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes

Specific requirements:
1) Required to have been an Area Authority within the oil industry or show proven experience in permit to work systems. A sound knowledge of task risk assessments is essential and the person in this role should be experienced and competent as mechanical isolation authority and be comfortable with the reading and understanding of P&IDs and Isometric drawings.
2) MIST, BOSIET and Offshore Medical Certificates.
