Raeburn are handling a permanent vacancy for a Deputy Production Manager to be based at St Fergus Gas Terminal. The primary purpose of the role is to manage the day to day operation of the plant and pipelines, through leading the Operations and Shutdown teams.

Duties:
1) Support the Production Manager in the development, implementation and audit of systems and processes to mitigate and / or control operational risks.
2) At an Asset level, co-ordinate work activities of offshore shippers and major site works such as shutdowns, project interaction and plant tests. Ensure the planning outcome is optimised to minimise equipment downtime, production shortfalls and to achieve production targets.
3) Provide assurance that there is effective management of all operational safety controls e.g. inhibits, overrides, LO/LC spec blinds, handovers and downgraded situations etc.
4) Manage the FUKA and Vesterled pipeline operations to maintain as far as is practicable the security of supply to SFGT.
5) Identify report and investigate any failure to achieve production targets (quantity/quality) and ensure appropriate measures are applied to prevent re-occurrence.
6) Optimisation of Operations Team manpower.
7) Provide cover for Production Manager as required.
8) Ensure that the functional teams and individuals reporting in to this role are conversant with the Major Accident Hazard (MAH) scenarios identified within the COMAH report. Ensure that training is provided to maintain MAH and COMAH awareness within these functions.
9) Be fully aware of the Emergency Response role whilst acting as Duty Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
1) Degree qualified or minimum HND or equivalent in process or engineering discipline.
2) Robust track record in operational & technical process plant management, in high hazard industries.
3) Making critical safety and operational decisions.
4) Assuring safety & optimising production, without deferring to higher management.
5) Setting priorities, targets and goals.
6) Drives these through with explanation, persuasion & stakeholder buy-in.
7) Organisation of multiple activities & competing priorities.
8) Communicates to Shift Teams, with a view to driving performance and assuring safety standards and daily production.
9) Manage, supervise and direct a team >50 persons.
10) Prepares, manages and oversees budgets, cost control & contract management.
11) Strong track record and robust knowledge of personal and process safety management systems.
12) Robust knowledge of operational systems, methods and processes to assure process & personal safety, including electronic CMMS, electronic permit to work system, isolation standards, inhibits, risk assessment, leak testing, hazardous areas, vessel entry and gas / environmental testing.
13) Strong understanding of the requirements for & use of ESD, F&G and DCS systems for process plant control and abnormal condition / emergency management.
14) Robust understanding of plant & pipeline operations, Operator tasks & day-to-day operational management.
15) Thinks commercially & liaises with the Commercial Operations department to maximise value from the asset in terms of delivered volumes.
16) Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, enabling formatting & use for business needs & presentation to external authoritys third parties, & management.
