We are currently recruiting for Offshore Control Room Operators to work for an operator on a contract basis for an initial period of 1-4 months.

Suitable candidates will have recent North Sea Platform experience.

Reporting to the OTL (P), the Control Room Operator (CRO) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of platform plant and equipment to maximize and optimize production opportunities and achieve day-to-day production targets; this will include directing the Operations Team members to investigate anomalies and carry out routine and non-routine operational actions, to ensure the assets are operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Drive the facility to ensure that the production targets are achieved (production & environmental) and ensure losses are minimised.
2) Regular review of DCS Graphics pages, looking for process anomalies - checking valve position and outputs, temperature, level and pressure trends and addressing any anomalies as necessary.
3) Accountable for the management of control room alarms, mainly generated by the Distributed Control, Emergency Shutdown, and Fire and Gas Systems.
4) The CRO is the only person authorised to control the silencing, acknowledgement or resetting of alarms.
5) Must be fully aware of all platform activities in order to be able to make on the spot decisions regarding conflicting activities and plant control.
6) Ensure daily plant checks are carried out by Operation Team members and logged accurately.
7) Application of ESD & DCS overrides as required for both process and maintenance tasks. These must be logged according to operational procedure.
8) Identify alarm reduction opportunities and areas of focus for performance improvement.
9) Log keeping (CRO daily log/weekly handover/override logging). All pertinent tasks and plant status must be logged with relevant data and information to assist with shift handover and scrutiny of historical events.
10) Radio operative for UHF & VHF sets in the PCR - liaison with Marine Vessels, Deck Crew and Operations Team members as necessary.
11) Maximo reporting of defects in liaison with discipline technicians to ensure correct data is input into Maximo and materials, resources and target dates are captured.
12) Assist with the production of ICCs, WCCs and workpacks (including procedures) for platform maintenance tasks, TARs & Slowdowns.
13) Contribute to the completion of planned maintenance routines.
14) Demonstrate competency through CMAS by maintaining an up to date competency profile.
15) Ensure all PCR documentation (P&Ids, C&Es, Well Guidelines, etc) are maintained with the current revision.
16) Liaise with Asset Wells Team regarding well guidelines and testing ensuring AOS and OOE are aware of status and requirements.
