Business Development and Proposals Coordinator

Raeburn Group Limited are looking for an experienced, committed and professional Business Development and Proposals Coordinator to join their team in Aberdeen. 

The Role

  • To coordinate the tender’s process from the pre‐qualification stage through to final bid submission, award of contract and engagement close out ensuring all responses are on time
  • To manage and distribute new tender notifications
  • To collate all necessary documentation required as part of the tendering and contracts process including information on successful and unsuccessful post tender feedback
  • To act as the main point of contact between Raeburn Group Limited and tendering clients ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • To prepare regular status updates and feedback on ongoing tendering and evaluation activities
  • To proactively arrange, minute and coordinate actions for internal Business Development meetings
  • To ensure that all completed tender submissions are of the best possible response in terms of accuracy,  content, completeness and demonstrated added value
  • To allocate, set up and document control proposals and bids
  • To coordinate, negotiate and ensure the successful preparation and implementation of Terms and Conditions with new and existing clients ensuring the inclusion of relevant recruitment and legal legislation requirements
  • To act as the main point of contact between Raeburn Group  Limited and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation
  • To assist with new business development activities across all Recruitment core markets including Oil and Gas, Constructions, Rail and Energy sectors
  • To be forthcoming and proactive in identifying and communicating with potential new Clients
  • To assist with new Client meetings including set up, preparation, attendance and follow up
  • To effectively give, receive and record communications


  • Previous experience within a business development role in addition to proposals and bid preparation (minimum 2 years)
  • Proven coordination of commercial reviews with senior management and input into bids
  • Legal and commercial awareness and an understanding of its practical applications within a business
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines – must be able to multitask, organise and prioritise workload
  • Initiative and ability to self-manage
  • Ability to accurately track, report and record
  • Ability to successfully engage and interact with Clients
  • IT and technology literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • Professional, confident and diligent manner
  • Customer service focussed and orientated
  • Team player who works collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours as required to fulfil the requirement of the position
  • Ability to travel
  • Degree Qualified
